How bout the time my band Altered jammed out years ago in the middle of summer n I left my bass in its case draped from wheel well to wheel well in my drummer’s Camero n by the time I got there the next day it had gotten SO hot my case was drooping between the wells. Luckily I just left it shut so it’d cool gradually. Been playin it ever since….19 years now. But I thought I had destroyed it at the time.
