I had shipped many guitars and had never had a problem. My Les Paul arrived and excited as I was to open the box, I waited for the guitar to acclimate for 24 hours. Finally I opened the box and noticed that the “this end up” side of the box revealed the bottom of the case. I opened the case and yes, the headstock was snapped off!!!
The seller had taken it to the UPS store to have it packed and it was placed in the box upside down!!! So, the guitar had ridden across the country, bouncing on the neck of the guitar. The seller made it good after I found out I had paid for insurance that he had “forgotten” to purchase.
