This unit is as perfect as the first one we purchased a few years ago.
First off, the rack was professionally packed and arrived quickly. The quality of the Versa 6 Case Rack is excellent. The joints are precision cut, and the fit it exact and stable. All of the wood is well sanded, and all of the edges are slightly rounded. If you want to get your guitars off the ground and organized, this rack only needs a space about 4 feet long. I email chatted with Bob, and he was very helpful and cordial. And, from talking with him, it's apparent that he takes a lot pride in the products that the company produces, and it shows in the quality of guitar rack I received.
This was given as a gift. The only complaint he said was the overall measurements did not include the connecting tabs that hang out over the legs of the guitar rack. This complaint is so minor that it is not worth lowering the rating. An update to the item description with overall measurements from tab to tab would suffice. Otherwise, he's perfectly happy with it.
FAQs
A: Switching the VersaRack from a case rack to a guitar stand is simple. Just insert the 3-guitar or 6-guitar add-on and lay down the protective foam on the bottom rails — and you’ve got a clean, sturdy guitar stand.
A: Most standard electrics and dreadnought acoustics fit nicely. However, guitars with very sharp or unusual body shapes, like Flying Vs, Explorers, or Firebirds, won’t fit well. For bigger or atypical shapes like jumbos, Dobros, or Weissenborn slide guitars, you should measure first and check these specs:
- max depth of instrument neck from fret-side to back-side: 1.5″
- max length of instrument body: 24″
- max thickness of instrument body: 6″
- The hybrid VR3G version fits up to 3 cases next to the 3 guitars. If you only have acoustic cases or big gig bags with bulky pockets, you may fit fewer. Always measure your case widths first: the VR3G gives you about 19.5 inches of space to work with.
- The larger VR6C case-only version holds about 6 to 8 cases, depending on case width, and works for both acoustic and electric guitar cases. If you only have acoustic cases or big gig bags with bulky pockets, you may fit fewer. Always measure your case widths first: the VR6C gives you about 42 inches of space to work with.
A: The VersaRack is built to handle the full weight of your guitars and cases, whether they’re solid or hollow-body. It keeps your gear stable and secure.
A: If you are using the out-of-case version only (VR6G), the answer is yes. If you are keeping cases on the rack (VR3G or VR6C), you may need to move it 4-5″ away from the wall depending on the size and shape of your cases.

RE: MISSING PARTS - If a product arrives and parts are missing, please email us within the first 15 days of your delivery date. We will ship your replacement parts within 5 business days of receiving your message.

I already sent in a review. But I was looking for a smaller rack for four or five guitars. I finally went with one on Amazon called ‘Penypeal Guitar Stand – Folding Design, Solid Beech Wood, Multiple Guitar Rack with Removable Retainers for Display and Storage’. I was hoping you made a smaller one. The one’s I bought from you, one is in the garage for guitar cases and the others are in a closet in my study for guitars. I needed something small that could fit on the floor of my study for guitars and my octave mandolins. My mandolins I finally hung from the walls in my study but was looking for again a small rack for mandolins but I guess this is non existent. I didn’t want a bunch of individual stands all over my room. Now I am done, everything is either hanging on the wall or on a smaller rack on my floor or in the closet on one of your larger racks. This may be a consideration that may be of interest that a smaller rack for guitars or may a smaller rack for mandolins.

Also, it works well since I don’t have to wall hang them and have place to put my nice hardshell cases. I just wish there were more color finishes. A dark brown natural look and tones in between dark and light would be amazing. It’s a small gripe, but the price of this stand means that I will be moving and keeping it. Wish it was a color that better suited my residence and decor.

I wasn’t sure about the VersaRack when I ordered it and bought it without seeing one. All of my instruments stay either in their case or on my lap so the rack is for cased instruments. My apprehension was due to I have a mandolin that I wanted to put in the rack along with the guitars. I tried to contact the company to see if it was able to hold the mandolin and never heard back so I thought I’d give it a try. Glad I did! Everything fits and I am quite happy with the rack. Easy to assemble and while it may not look as cool as the “studio rack” looks pretty good in the room. I am more than satisfied with the rack and glad I have it. You might put that in your lit that it will accommodate a mandolin case also. (Save any apprehension in the future).

This is nice. It could have been a bit cheaper. The wood works. There could have been simple touches that could have made it better. It is simple to assemble without any instructions. I think it could have had wider guitar necks to hold certain items if I wanted. Maybe another rubber bottom insert or felt all along the bottom piece to keep it from scratching instruments up.. It would also be nice to have a brace at the bottom to hold something like a saxophone case. This would be nice to hold different instruments. I have it also holding my violin case.

I like the design and creativeness behind this unit. When I assembled it, I erred by planning for the cases to go on the left side and guitars on the right side. I installed the foam strips accordingly. I then realized I should have installed the rail on the right side and foam strips on the left side. While the rail was easily re positioned to the right side, the foam strips had already been secured with their stick-on tape, and I heavily damaged them when attempting to pull them up to move to the left side. I need a new set of foam strips, and someone in your shop responded to my request but I have not heard back any more. I am willing to purchase new ones, but I can’t use this product as intended without replacement strips
