✓ Designed for Classroom Guitar Programs

This rack is made especially for school music rooms where acoustic guitars are the main focus. It’s a great fit for programs with a lot of students, helping you keep everything in order and ready for class.

✓ Store Guitars in Cases or Out

Choose the version that meets your needs:

The Case-only version (BRDGC) holds up to 20 guitar cases (depending on case size) and includes pick-shaped stops to hold them in place.

The Guitar and Case version (BRDG) holds up to 20 guitars or cases (depending on instrument and case size), with removable pegs that help keep everything upright.

Both options include an extra rail setting to better fit small or ¾-size acoustic guitars.

✓ Easy to Move Between Rooms

If you teach on the cart or need to take your guitars to another room—like an auditorium, gym, or cafeteria for rehearsal—the heavy-duty wheels make it simple to roll everything at once. Locking brakes keep the rack in place when you get there.

✓ Keeps Instruments Safe and Secure

The built-in cable-and-lock system helps prevent theft during breaks or weekends. It’s an easy way to add security when your classroom is left unattended.

✓ Built to Last in School Environments

Made in the U.S.A. with strong, classroom-ready materials, this rack is built to handle daily use from students and teachers alike. You can count on it to hold up through busy school years.

✓ Backed by a Satisfaction Guarantee

If you’re not completely satisfied, the product is covered by a 100% Money Back Guarantee. Check the RETURNS tab above for full details.

⚠ Warning about Solid Body, Vintage & Acoustic Guitars with Heavy Cases

These shelves are designed for lightweight student guitars. If you are a guitar player or anyone wishing to store heavier solid body guitars, in or out of their cases, or guitars with nitro finishes, the Band Room Double-Stack Racks are NOT recommended. Instead, please see our Session-Pro Double-Stack electric guitar shelves for a more appropriate solution. They’re nitro safe guitar stands that are built to hold heavier weights long-term.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you accept purchase orders?
A: Yes we do! Contact us for further details.

Q: Can the Band Room Double-stack also hold mariachi instruments?
A: Yes! It doubles as a mariachi instrument storage rack, able to hold your students’ requintos, bajo quintos, vihuelas and even guitarrons.

Q: How easy is the rack to assemble?
A: We provide clearly illustrated instructions and all necessary hardware. Still, the assembly is moderately complex and much easier with a second person to help out.

Q: How many inches of space are needed between the rack and the wall so that the cases do not rub against the wall?
A: It can vary somewhat depending on the case model but in general we suggest you leave approximately 6″ of space.

Q: Can rectangular cases fit on the top shelf?
A: Yes, rectangular cases will fit on the top shelf but NOT the bottom.

Q: What holds rectangular cases upright?
A: There is a specially-designed guitar pick-shaped “bookend” that keeps the guitar cases upright and together. Also, just like any other case, rectangular cases sit in a stable position where they rest back against the top rail. The bottom edge of the case has enough flat surface area so it can sit upright.

Q: What size doorway will this product fit through?
A: The rack fits through doorways up to 80 inches high and 33 inches wide. Cases and guitars add further height and width depending on their size.

Q: Does the listed height of 71 ½” H inches include the wheels?
A: Yes it does include the wheel kit.

Q: How many inches will the guitar cases extend above the height of the rack?
A: It can vary somewhat depending on the case model but in general we suggest approximately 7-8″ for ceiling clearance.

Q: Can I easily remove all the separator dowels to fit more guitar cases?
A: Yes, they are all removable. They can be placed anywhere along the rail OR they can be removed completely to give you more storage area for more instruments.

Q: Will the guitars or guitar cases directly contact the wood cross beams?
A: No. There is a high-grade, durable plastic molding along the rails which the guitars and cases rest on.

Q: Can this product be assembled and used without the wheels?
A: Yes. We provide the wheels just in case the rack needs to be moved around your room, but it can certainly be used without the wheels. If you have low ceilings and need extra height, you may prefer to eliminate the wheels which add 6 inches.

Q: Do you accept orders for custom sized racks?
A: Sorry, not at this time.

Real Reviews from Real Shoppers

  1. Great Storage rack. Solved so many classroom storage issues. Well made, sturdy and mobile!

    John L. (verified owner)

  2. The top support piece is already very bowed. We are using as instructed, but the weight of guitars & cases is way too much. It will be used as a disposable piece which makes it way too expensive for that. We took several guitars off of the top and are storing them elsewhere because we were afraid the top piece holding all of the guitars was going to break.

    Pam L.

    • Thank you for your feedback. The Band Room rack you ordered is designed for light-weight guitars used in schools. We make multiple mentions of this aspect in the product description and point out that the Session-Pro Double-Stack, with its steel-reinforced rails, is better suited for guitar players who have heavier guitars and cases. A member of our customer service department will contact you to discuss your options.
